about

We recorded Danger On The Beaches in my family's vacation home in Moultonbourough NH. The line up featured a slightly earlier incarnation of the band: Jon Siedmann on lead guitar and keys, Jun Kwon on drums, Sam and I in our usually places of bass and rhythm guitar respectively. We also got a lot of help from Justin Kahn who joined us for a couple weeks while Sam and I finished the tracks. Jun and Jon left after they had laid down their parts. He plays many instruments, Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar and hand percussion throughout.
We played most these songs out for two years before recording them and you can hear it on the finished album. It is a very personal record for me, at the time I was writing these songs I was dealing with serious chronic depressive issues, some unfortunate romantic situations and coming to terms with the fact that I probably wouldn't finish collage on time. I often write personally but this collection represents my most confessional work to date.
