about

The Night The Saucers Came is a sci fi rock opera that follows the story of an invasion of Earth by an alien race called The Shroud and the indomitable Colonel who resist them. The record follows in the tradition of classic rock high concept albums such as Ziggy Stardust, Tommy and even the first Klaatu record. It also veers into sonic territory more akin to Yoshimi Battles Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips or echoes the DIY minimalist sensibility of much of Daft Punk's Discovery.
